Read the case study below, on how Elite Plastics, manufacturer is reaping benefits from implementing SafetyBox, health and safety software.

Elite Plastics, based in Hereford, was formed in 1994 and is now one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of bespoke polythene films, bags and covers. They distribute to customers throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe. Manufacturing innovative, sustainable, carbon neutral, polythene for the evolving market. They are pioneers in compostable flexible plastics and their end goal is to manufacture polythene that excels in purpose, while reducing customer costs and their environmental footprint.

Elite Plastics needed a system that was easy to use, was a standalone system that could hold all their health and safety procedures in one place, such as audits, service appointments, training templates etc and ensure that they were meeting strict compliance requirements required for their industry.

Andrew Holder, SHEQ Co-Ordinator at Elite Plastics comments “We were given a very thorough presentation on the system and it was clear that the software has been specifically designed for industry. I had used the system in my previous employment at a children’s residential home and was very impressed. The functionality was also perfect for the manufacturing sector and knew it would meet all our organisational requirements, so was keen to implement at Elite Plastics too.”

Andrew states “We have an extremely busy organisation and we have non stop production 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It was very important that the software met our business needs with little interruption to production. Implementation was quick and easy and the team at SafetyBox were able to assist with any queries straight away. Having one system saves us time and money. It is available on our mobiles and desktops so we can quickly and easily report incidents in the factory and is much more efficient having all our documentation in one place. We are a safety conscious company, so it helps us keep on top of safety risks and prevent incidents. Providing reports to Directors is now much quicker, with graphical reporting all done for you.”

Himmat Rai, Director at SafetyBox adds “SafetyBox’s main aim is to help organisations comply with the law and prevent incidents, but the functionality of the software offers a whole range of benefits. You can add training records, machine maintenance and vehicle records, fire alarm test reminders, contractor management and much more. It is so much more convenient to have one system than managing multiple systems for each area. Elite Plastics are very environmentally conscious, so it is great that they are benefitting from SafetyBox and it helps them to also reduce their carbon footprint.”
